-Cultural highlight Ancestral Temple of the Chen Family
Occupying an area of 15,000 square meters, the temple is composed of six courtyards, nine main halls, and nineteen buildings. With a traditional Guangdong style architecture, the temple is especially renowned for its beautiful decorations. In the temple, historical figures, legends, and sceneries are presented with many art forms, including wood , brick ,stone and lime carving, pottery, clay and ash sculpture, brass and iron cast, grotto, etc. The artistic and historical values made the temple an important attraction in Guangzhou. In 1986, it was designated as an important cultural relic by the State Council. The temple is now the site of the Museum of Guangdong Folk Arts and Crafts.
-People highlight Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall
Sun Yat-sen was born on November 12, 1866 at Cuiheng Village of Guangdong province. He was the forerunner of China's revolution against the Qing government. In August 1905, he formulated the Three Principles of the People - nationalism, democracy, and social well-being. He believed they were the guidelines for building a modern China, and he contributed his whole life into this great task.
Completed in October 1983, the memorial hall, occupying an area of 12,000 square meters has magnificent exterior and elegant interior decorations. The whole building, octagonal in shape, is designed with typical Chinese architectural style. In 1956, a 5-meter- high bronze statue of Dr Sun was erected in front of the hall. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall is the most symbolized building of Guangzhou, and a key venue for the city's large-scale meetings and performances.

Due to white clouds covering the mountain top, the mountain was aptly called White Cloud Mountain. Its gorgeous scenery and abundant historical relics since ancient times, has made it a famous scenic spot in Guangzhou. White Cloud Mountain Park with natural hills and water is an ideal sightseeing place and a summer resort. Renowned poets and scholars of past dynasties, such as Sushi, Yang Wanli, Wang Shizhen to name a few came here and left poems and words of wisdom after their visit. Export Commodities Fair, also called Canton Fair, is held twice a year in
Spring and Autumn since it was inaugurated in the Spring of 1957. It is
China's largest trade fair of the highest level, of the most complete
varieties and of the largest attendance and business turnover. Preserving
its traditions, the Fair is a comprehensive and multi-functional event of
international importance.
This
ancestral temple was built between 1890 and 1894 during the reign of
Emperor Guangxu of the Qing dynasty, and is the largest, best preserved,
and best decorated ancient architecture existing in Guangdong province. It
was built with donations of the Chen family then spread in 72 counties in
Guangdong province. The temple used to provide lodgings for candidates of
the Chen family who came to Guangdong to prepare for imperial examinations
in Guangzhou. Hence it was also called Chen Clan Academy.
Situated
in the original site of Sun Yat-sen's Presidential Office on the southern
slope of Yuexiu Hill, is a memorial building built in 1931 with funds
raised by the Guangzhou people and overseas Chinese in memory of Sun
Yat-sen, the pioneer of China's bourgeois democratic revolution. 
White
Cloud Mountain is the mountain range located 7.5 km northeast of
Guangzhou. As an offshoot of Dayu Ling, the main mountain range of
Guangdong province, White Cloud Mountain is made up of 30-odd peaks, with
an area of 28 square meters. The highest peak, Moxing Ridge
(Star-scrapping Ridge) stands in the center of White Cloud Mountain, at
382 meters high and is reputed as being the first peak under the southern
sky".

in 1960, the Pearl River Night Cruise has attracted more than 10 million
citizens and tourists during its 44 years' operation. The ship sails on
the river from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm every evening. The 250-seat cruise ship
is impressively featured with (lingnan) South China's culture, the
traditional architectures skills adopted to suit traveler's taste like the
round arches and four-squared pavilions, etc .
There
are hundreds of recipes for Cantonese soup. The very best and renowned is the
long-hour cooked soup, known as lao huo liang tang, which combined with vegetables and
bones, sometimes with Chinese herbs together. In addition to the ingredients
and methods, Cantonese soup is cooked differently in different seasons,
catering to people's varying tastes and needs.
Guangzhou
also praised as " flower city", The annual spring flower
show have attracted attention worldwide. On the eve of the Spring
Festival, the streets of Guangzhou are filled with fresh flowers and potted
